Episode 249: Fruitfulness Comes When You Die
from Detox with Abi · host Abimbola Arawande
Kingdom’s way of success is totally different from the world’s method of success. Jesus mentioned in John 14:24 “Let me make this clear: A single grain of wheat will never be more than a single grain of wheat unless it drops into the ground and dies. Because then it sprouts and produces a great harvest of wheat—all because one grain died. “ Jesus used the analogy I read from John 14:24 to describe his own death in other to bring more sons alive in God. “And I, if and when I am lifted up from the earth [on the cross], will draw all people to Myself [Gentiles, as well as Jews].” He said this to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die.” John 12:32-33 AMP As God’s children, we are called to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, like seed also - to die to self and be abandoned to the will of the Father. Seed, until buried, submitted, abandoned to God’s will, it abides alone. Once buried, germination begins and then comes fruitfulness. Father I pray for strength for us all to daily die to self, to our own will so that your name will be glorified as we bear much fruits in every area of our lives. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
