Episode 25: "And The World Looks Up and Smiles"

from Retrosonic Podcast · host Retrosonic Podcast

Steve from Retro Man Blog and Rock Photographer Paul Slattery with the usual rock 'n' roll waffle and pick 'n' mix of brand new releases and weird old stuff from the worlds of Garage Rock, Psych, Punk and Indie. In this episode we have an exclusive track from The Masonics forthcoming album in the build up to our launch party at The Half Moon Putney on November 18th and chat about our recent sold out gig with Graham Day & The Forefathers along with tracks by The Senior Service and The Daggermen. There's some superb brand new releases from The Mobbs, Oh! Gunquit, The Urges and The WitchDoktors alongside grungey swamp pop from Ten Benson and The Screaming Trees. We touch on the recent screening and DVD launch of "Lawrence of Belgravia" and play a classic 80's single by Felt and marvel at the sheer volume of great weird Psych from 1966 with a prime example by The Weeds. Then we have some great Paisley Underground from Guadalcanal Diary a wonderful track from Sunset Drive and round it all off with a stompin' slice of Garage Soul by Frantic Freddie & His Reflections.
