What You’ll Take Away from This Episode:✨ Chronic overwhelm means it’s time to tune in—not push through.✨ Society tells us to ignore our needs, but we get to rewrite the rules.✨ Caregivers (yes, that means YOU, too!) must prioritize their own well-being.✨ Small rituals and firm boundaries can be game-changers for stress.✨ Healing takes patience, but support makes the journey easier.✨ Grief needs space to be processed, not rushed through.✨ Emotional awareness is a superpower.✨ Your support system matters more than you think!✨ Stillness and silence? Total life hacks for clarity and peace.✨ No matter how lost you feel, hope is always there. Katie Hedges is a somatic bodyworker dedicated to helping individuals heal from trauma through the body. With extensive training in Somatic Experiencing, Transforming Touch, Somatic Resiliency and Regulation, Havening, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), Katie specializes in guiding clients through the renegotiation of trauma to restore balance and wellbeing. Katie works with clients on an individual basis and is part of a mental health clinic specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, as well as mood and anxiety issues. In addition to her one-on-one work, she facilitates trauma-informed yoga and somatic awareness sessions, bringing a holistic approach to healing. A key part of Katie’s journey has been her own process of healing from a dysregulated system, which has deeply informed her work with others. She has completed IFS Level One Training and has integrated indigenous healing practices, offering a bridge between non-Western belief systems and Western therapeutic modalities. Her areas of expertise include developmental trauma, disordered eating, complex trauma, and the impacts of cult and institutional abuse. Outside of her professional work, Katie enjoys spending time in nature, deepening her relationship with music, and cherishing moments with her daughter, partner, and animals. Her holistic approach to healing is rooted in compassion, presence, and a deep respect for the body’s wisdom. Join the Conversation! We want to hear from you! What resonated with you in this episode?
