Episode 25: How to Not Be a Toxic Man with Our Friend Quinn

from No Boundaries: Black Girl Magic Edition with Anousha Nzume · host Anousha Nzume

Not all men are toxic; some are actually pretty great. No, they weren’t born that way, and they didn’t fall out of the sky like beautiful angel babies. They’re real, grown men who undid the misogynistic script they were taught to stick to and decided to live in peace with the other genders rather than live against them. Our friend Quinn didn’t learn how to undo the patriarchy by taking a super secret class or by being inherently better than everyone else. It’s not that simple. What he did do was find productive outlets for his anger and decide what he would tolerate and what he wouldn’t. So if you’re worried that your loved ones are getting more and more toxic, this episode may help. In this week's episode, we’re talking to our friend Quinn, the nicest guy we know. He’s kind and empathetic, and he doesn’t take anything too personally. He’s the least toxic person we know, so we had him on the show to ask how he became the man he is today and what other men can do to break free from toxic masculinity. Enjoy!
