Episode 25: Leaving ‘Il Bel Paese’ from Saronno to Dardanup- Giovanni Marchetti and his story

In this episode you will hear something a bit different, our first interview recorded in Italian. We have the pleasure of introducing Giovanni, Lukas’ neighbour. Born in Saronno in 1930, he immigrated to Australia shortly after the end of World War 2. In this episode we discuss the joys of being able to speak with native Italian speakers and how special it is to hear their memories of Italy and experiences of immigration.
