The California native stretched his fuel to grab his first career victory at Sonoma Raceway as he maintained a comfortable lead over Stewart-Haas Racing teammate Clint Bowyer. Martin Truex Jr. led a race-high 25 laps, but engine trouble forced him to the garage on lap 86.Ten of the 16 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff spots are now spoken just 16 races into the regular season. Big-name drivers such as Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Joey Logano (due to his encumbered Richmond victory) are still winless. Who will be on the outside looking in when the playoffs begin? How many winless drivers will make it into the playoffs on points?
