Episode 25 - Party Time!

Get on your party hats, blow up the balloons and cut the cake because Brainwaves is one year old! On this special episode we are joined by our executive producers Robert and Sadie from the Lucky Sparrow Games Cafe and a few friends of the show. Although we were mostly partying we still had time to cover a bit of news with our guests and debate the merits of various party games!  Iain, Jamie and Sam would like to thank all our listeners, friends and family for supporting us over the last year. The response to the cast has been more than we could have hoped and we are looking forward to what the next year will bring.  Resolution to Martin Wallace/Eagle Gryphon https://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/2167942/resolution-aos-situation?fbclid=IwAR3NATWG89Ya3_aRYmP14rkDvMiHZoYrxc9o5dCi3PMN-2I72Ht6DPRjBxA Dune reprint from Gale Force 9 https://twitter.com/therewillbegame/status/1106260088308686848?s=19&fbclid=IwAR1FpdJEFdmZEJ1GkyXLxE2fLl6wRcYKK34ByMam7L20LVxPQU1n-Br_nM4 CMON and Asmodee enter exclusive agreement https://icv2.com/articles/news/view/42699/cmon-enters-exclusive-north-american-distribution-deal-asmodee-na Die Hard: Nakatomi Heist Board Game https://icv2.com/articles/news/view/42754/die-hard-the-nakatomi-heist-board-game Root Tabletop Game of the year at SXSW http://www.dicetowernews.com/big-honors-for-root-at-sxsw-and-on-kickstarter/57964 https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2074786394/root-the-underworld-expansion/posts/2451778 TalisBatman https://www.tabletopgaming.co.uk/board-games/news/become-dc-super-villains-and-try-to-bring-down-the-dark-knight-in Kingdom Rush comes to mobile https://www.tabletopgaming.co.uk/board-games/news/kingdom-rush-is-the-next-ridiculously-popular-mobile-app-to-get-a Larry Ditillio, writers of Masks of Nyarlathotep dies https://www.tabletopgaming.co.uk/board-games/news/r-i-p--larry-ditillio-rpg-designer-and-writer-of-legendary-call-ofhttps://www.tabletopgaming.co.uk/board-games/news/r-i-p--larry-ditillio-rpg-designer-and-writer-of-legendary-call-of Critical Role Animated Film https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/criticalrole/critical-role-the-legend-of-vox-machina-animated-s?ref=nav_search&result=project&term=critical%20role D&D Movie begins casting http://www.enworld.org/forum/content.php?6151-Casting-Begins-Soon-For-D-D-Movie&s=177d02adc97cdae1c78127ed5aab6483 Chinese Government burns RPG books https://www.yog-sothoth.com/index.html/news/chinese-government-burns-call-of-cthulhu-supplement/?fbclid=IwAR07CifFloRO_f_C8QfhGAtsGAfHPM4z_dokA6GLDDvRxzrqX7UM4Bihqpc Monopoly proposal https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-45398154 Many thanks to those who sent us some audio for the cast Ross from More Games Please https://www.moregamesplease.com/ Gaz from The Smart Party https://smartparty.wordpress.com/ Stuart Garside from District 31 http://www.district31.co.uk/ Isa Yu and David Dolliver  Get in touch iTunes - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/brainwaves-board-game-and-tabletop-news-show/id1367090522?mt=2 Twitter - https://twitter.com/thegiantbrain Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/giantbrainuk/ Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/thegiantbrain/ Website - http://www.giantbrain.co.uk/ Email - [email protected]
