Episode 25 - Phoenix Rises

Phoenix Rises: Why stop at one treasure when you can chase two? This week on There’s Treasure Inside, we sit down with Matt “Phoenix” Winjum—restaurant owner, treasure hunter, and co-creator of Seven Paces. From late-night lightbulb moments to boots on the ground in Vermont hunting the Appalachian Footpath Treasure, Phoenix walks us through his journey from hunter to creator. We get the inside scoop on how he and his partner "Redbeard" launched a series of companion hunts designed to piggy-back on the all of the There’s Treasure Inside boxes—starting with a "coffee can" inspired by the Appalachian Footpath box in VT. And yes, he might have already hidden a second one out west. We unpack the thrill of watching hunters try to think like a creator, the voyeuristic joy being a creator watching online forums, the agony of red herrings, and the heart-racing solitude of a 2am breakthrough.
