In this part of our show we discuss the film's difficult fate, cult resurrection and universal critical acclaim. We talk about Dahl banking on a great story and the cast plucked out of David Lynch's closet, Nic Cage at his most subdued and nuanced and the unwieldy Dennis Hopper as the film's agent of chaos.
