Episode 251: Part 1 of 2; An Interview with a JUCO Basketball Coach Rand Chappell

I love doing interviews for The Athletic Scholarship Podcast.  Not that I am really good at interviewing, but the guests give hands-on and very useful recruiting information to you.  Episode 251 is an interview with the Head Coach of Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS.  Coach Rand Chappell has coached for over 30 years at the Junior College, NAIA, Division 2 and Division 1 levels.  Coach Chappell just finished his 1st year at Johnson County and his team made the JUCO National Championship Tournament in the 2020-2021 season.   In this episode, Part 1 of 2, Coach Chappell hits on COVID issues in recruiting, the levels of JUCO that are available, what he looks for when recruiting at all the different levels, JUCO, NAIA, D2 and D1, some of the advantages of Junior College and some of the challenges of college.   I invite you to listen to last week's episode, Episode 250.  I was a celebration of the 250th episode of The Athletic Scholarship Podcast and a celebration of the Recruit-Me founder, Jon Fugler.
