Episode 253: Pam Devine (Low Carb USA)

from Low Carb MD Podcast · host The Low Carb MD Podcast

Thank you for joining us for another episode of the Low Carb MD Podcast. Pam Devine is the Co-Founder and Operations Manager of Low Carb USA. She worked for 20 years in the medical field doing diagnostic imaging and patient care before finding her way into the nutrition and diet world. Though she had always been active and health conscious, she continued to suffer from chronic pain and was gaining weight despite her efforts. It was not until she discovered the low-carbohydrate diet that she started to experience real sustainable change. In this conversation, Tro, Brian, and Pam talk about Pam's nutritional and professional history, the beginnings of Low Carb USA, the effects of low-carb dieting on mood and mental health, food addiction, the speaker lineup at the very first Low Carb USA conference, the upcoming five part documentary series on cancer research that Doug and Pam have been involved with, and the progress of the Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners.
