EPISODE 253 - Say No To Dafoe
from Who Asked You? · host Chasecom Media
Do you want to see Willem Dafoe naked and fully penetrating his female co-star? Perhaps you already did; that is, if you saw a 2009 Lars von Trier movie called ANTICHRIST. Or did you? Although the movie has a brief shot of a penis going into a vagina, it's not actually his lil' Green Goblin. Instead, it's a double. A dick double if you will. That one brief shot though, pales in comparison to other violent scenes in the story and the overall dark and what some describe as, evil tone of the entire movie. Two words: genital mutilation. I'm getting a little sidetracked though. My point is, with some clever editing, you thought you saw Dafoe's ding dong. And with von Trier's next project, NYMPH()MANIAC, he's taking it a step further. Like Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg and James Cameron just to name a few, he's using CG to further his film's story. Unlike those directors, or any others in mainstream filmmaking for that matter, von Trier is using it to create the illusion of A-List actors having actual sex. In his new movie you may very well see Shia LaBeouf, Uma Therman or Willem Dafoe doing some digital boinking. The director plans to shoot the actors from the waist up and then use doubles from the waist down who will actually be having actual, REAL sex. What do you think, is it about time we get some CGI sex in movies? One thing is for sure when it comes to nudity in films, we wanna see more of it (depending on who it is that's naked of course). And why not hold on the shot for a little longer? Film editor, Vashi Nedomansky did a little research and came up with the average shot length of some big name directors. Woody Allen likes to stay on one shot for almost 18-seconds! While Spielberg lets his role for about 6-seconds. But there are some directors who can't even stay on one shot for that long. You'll hear who cuts the quickest on today's episode. The show gets a little serious as Charlie and Dennis get into it over vacation time at work. A new study from the Center for Economic and Policy Research found that America is the ONLY country out of the top 21 economically advanced nations that DOES NOT require employees to provide vacation time to workers. Australia's government for example, requires businesses to provide their employees with at least 35 days off each year! And other countries like France, Italy and Belgium aren't far behind. But 'Merica has no such requirement. As you can probably guess, Charlie agrees with that. Dennis, Jabari and myself (Mike is out again this week) do not. A rested employee who is not stressed is a happy productive employee. And although many US companies voluntarily offer PTO, it's usually two weeks or less per year, comes with a catch or many places don't offer it at all to those who work part time or haven't been with the company for a certain amount of time. A new bill from Congressman Alan Grayson hopes to change that. Should paid vacation from employers be required in the USA? Send us an E-Mail or voice message and tell us what you think. Two Tampa cops seemed to be taking their vacations while on duty! In Breaking News we learn that the officers pretended to be "working in the field" but were actually boozin' it up at a local strip club where they spent almost their entire shift before supervisors caught on. Not only did one of the drunk officers get belligerent in the parking lot with his fellow PD pals, but both were sent hope without reprimand or any sort of investigation. And it wasn't even brought up until the start of the following week. And there's just enough time for us to go on Jenkem Watch. In Indianapolis, an Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance office got a special delivery back after sending their junk mail advertisements to one resident who'd had enough. The mailers were addressed to the unidentified recipient's dog. So they mailed dog shit back to the insurance office. The ironic part is, unsolicited, nonstop, obnoxious junk mail isn't considered 'harassment by mail', but sticking a dog log in an envelope is? This goes both ways. Stop sending your crap to me and I'll stop sending mine to you. Only in America I suppose. If we'd get a little vacation time every once in awhile maybe we wouldn't be so testy and go mailing off dog shit to everyone.
