Episode 254 - Nocturnal Animals

from In The Queue - Film Conversations with Andrew and Phil · host Andrew and Phil

Amy Adams is an art gallery owner who receives a manuscript in the mail from her ex-husband.  It's a book he's written and titled 'Nocturnal Animals', a term he used to describe her.  The term has dual meaning, as it also refers to a group of West Texas scumbags who terrorize a family on the road at night.  The woman in the book doesn't end up too well.  Is this book a veiled threat from a man still heartbroken after a divorce?  Tom Ford's second film as director is highly compelling, and features a dynamite cast.  A highly unusual film that provoked an interesting discussion for Andrew and Phil on today's episode.
