Art, Rodeo and Legacy: A Conversation with Chris Navarro Chris Navarro is a nationally award-winning sculptor from Casper, Wyoming, and Sedona, Arizona, and the owner of Navarro Gallery and Sculpture Garden in Sedona since 2000. Sculpting professionally since 1986, he is best known for his large public works, with more than 34 monumental bronzes placed across the country, including a 16-foot bronze of the famous bucking horse Steamboat for the University of Wyoming and "The Messenger" for the Alamo in San Antonio. His work is held in 12 museum collections. Chris is the author of four books, including Chasing the Wind, Embrace the Struggle, Dare to Dream Big and The Art of Rodeo. He was the Honorary Artist for the 2015 Buffalo Bill Art Show, received the 2015 Wyoming Governor's Art Award, and was named a Distinguished Alumnus of Casper College in 2018.
