Episode 26
from Fish Fantasy 26 Hosted by Jay Sharp
Episode 26 is one of the best sounding episodes yet. This episode starts off kinda like a college rock radio station, transforms into painfully indie and obscure- lotsa great local brooklyn, NYC and NJ bands and then it kinda goes out with a bang- as in a burst of punk rock selections. I take two requests in this episode from Geraldine Visco (NY Press) and Smokin' Joe Haines (the JSE) and talk a bit about some of the tunes in this 3 1/2 hour episode. Complete list of artists played: Cracker, Nina Hagen, Gosub, Warpaint, Dr. Skinnybones, R.E.M., Thom Yorke, Losing you to Tattoos, Martin Luque, the Surgeon, Heroes of the Open End, Nat Brower and the Power, Bob Dylan, a Black Tie Affair, Smashing Pumpkins, Beat Happening, Chron Turbine, Eleanor, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, Elijah Should, Radiohead, Gorillaz, Justice, the Rapture, ESG, Interpol, Placebo, Tony Senghore, Daniel Johnston, Ethan Donway, Scharling, Willy Gantrim, Bill Callahan, the Eels, the False Alarms, the Talking Heads, the Appleseed Cast, Sacred Animals, Poindexter Twinklebottom, Smokin' Joe Haines, the Barrens, Cincopath, the Dead Exs, Bad Religion, Pearl Jam, the Plasmatics, the Jesus and Mary Chain, the Buzzcocks, the Raincoats, XTC, My Bloody Valentine, David Patillo, Wendy O.
