Although this burgeoning movement is sometimes referred to as an “Atheist Church,” we learn about what makes these communities different from religious practices. In a wide-ranging conversation, Jacqui explains what a Sunday Assembly service looks like in practice, how the congregations form and avoid hierarchy, and whether they can be a viable replacement for churches or mosques.
