Episode 26 - Light, Whip, Execution

The endless war between theists and atheists has always been fought over a counterfeit god. This episode of RESTART argues that the mystics agree with the atheist's critique: the god of institutional religion is a flawed, contradictory, man-made invention. But the mystics also know what the atheist doesn't: there is a real, tangible, and living divine reality. We deconstruct the very definition of atheism, arguing that you cannot deny a God that doesn't exist in the first place, and reframe the debate as one between the followers of a fake god and the followers of reason. Having cleared the battlefield, we reveal the mystics' great secret. Using Rumi's poetry as a key, we unlock the true meaning of the Quranic verse, "Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth." We prove that this "Light" is not an abstract deity, but the Perfect Human himself—a living being who acts as the visible manifestation of the divine. We explore his nature as a sun with "700 veils of light," whose intellect is the true "Gabriel," and whose Sufis are the "lamps" he sends into the world. This episode moves beyond the false choice of religion versus atheism and introduces you to the third option: the path of direct sight. #RestartPodcast #The73rdPath #UnityOfBeing #Sufism #Mysticism #Rumi #Theology #Atheism #Philosophy #Gnosticism #Consciousness #HosseiniRestart #ThePerfectHuman #700VeilsOfLight #SpiritualAwakening #Metaphysics #CritiqueOfReligion
