Episode 26 - Medical Non-Fiction

from In Our Bookish Era · host In Our Bookish Era

This week there was an unexpected additional theme. We had planned for non-fiction but we both ended up picking one that was heavy in science and medicine. While non-fiction isn't our usual go to we decided to branch out and challenge ourselves.  Rachael reads a book by a retired surgeon about his career, that is full of information we, as patients, should know. While Kristia tackles a story about what can happen when a doctor takes our cells and uses them to greatly advance the medical world, without our or our families knowledge.  Guest appears by the ever lovely Moxxie. Each book comes with the R&K approvals so make sure you're in a quiet place and come learn with us! Books Discussed: Do No Harm by  Henry Marsh The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot PS: Kristia's mic officially died, so apologies about the poor audio quality this week You can check out all our past reads here: isntitpastyourbedtime.com Music: purple-planet.com | Sound Effects: zapsplat.com
