Episode 26 - Perrin Beatty
from The Northern Sentinels Podcast · host Chris Ayotte
On this episode, I’m joined by Perrin Beatty. Originally from Fergus, Ontario, Perrin’s family arrived from Ireland in the 1820’s and his ancestors started Beatty Brothers Limited which grew into a major international agriculture and home appliance company. Perrin caught the political bug at age 12 when he helped out in a local campaign. A decade later he was a member of parliament and stayed in the House of Commons for 21 years. During that time he filled seven different ministerial positions. After politics, he led the CBC and then the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Our partner for this episode, and a member of the Veteran Volunteerism Initiative, is Team Rubicon. As a part of the NSP’s continued effort to support veteran business and charities, listen to how you can be continue to serve by helping communities in need.
