Episode 26: Singing & Mental Health

from Rock Your Voice Podcast · host Rockit Vocal Studios.

In this episode I am joined by retired RCMP officer, Cynthia Hamilton-Urquhart. We discuss Cynthia's vocal journey and how it has helped her work through her PTSD and helped restore her confidence and emotional connection.  There is a very real connection to how singing and music can help manage mental health issues. I am not a therapist, and that is not the goal in my sessions, however, there is a very common theme in many of my students and in this conversation we discuss how that cross over occurs naturally through singing and vocal coaching.  Thank you for sharing your insights Cynthia! I am so happy that singing is bringing you so much joy.
