Episode 26: Take a Walk on the Client Side with Jamie Lai

from AEC Marketeer · host Keelin Cox

In this episode I talk with Jamie about her experience working in the public sector and what we could do better as consultants when working with and marketing to public agencies like the City of Yorba Linda. Jamie has over 20 years experience in the public and private sector and has a diverse public works background in development services, traffic, transportation, planning, construction, roadway and freeway design, transit facilities planning, and operation & maintenance. She also has extensive experience working on large scale commercial and residential developments, transportation facilities such as the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC), and fostering partnerships with public utilities, neighboring cities and agencies. Jamie is focused on excellent customer service and working as a team to achieve results. The City of Yorba Linda currently has many exciting projects such as their recent completion of the Yorba Linda Town Center and upcoming completion of their new Public Library and Cultural Arts Center. Prior to joining Yorba Linda, Jamie worked at the City of Anaheim, Orange County Public Works and the private engineering sector. She received both her Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Transportation Planning, from the University of California, Irvine. She is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in the state of California.
