Episode 26: Terry Tramel on Learning What Translates Across Generations, Preaching the Primary Doctrines of the Church, and the Journey of the Christian Life
from DiscipLead Podcast · host Jonathan Bryan
In this episode, Terry and I discuss what he has learned in multiple decades as an evangelist and in the classroom as a professor. We also talk about his role as the Director of Global Outreach & Leadership Development in the IPHC and his latest book entitled, “The Dream Train”. Quotes for Notes:“Things that worked in previous cultures, and settings, and times don’t necessarily translate.”“Somehow, I have always made preaching the primary doctrines of the Church a high priority. Those messages that are focusing on the Bible, what the Bible is, who Jesus is, the death, the resurrection, the ascension, the coming of the Lord… those can and will and should be preached everywhere.” “The Christian life is not just an experience; it is a journey.”Links:https://www.amazon.com/Dream-Train-Terry-Tramel/dp/1667843613/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2EFS9LO4BE7G6&keywords=the+dream+train+terry+tramel&qid=1686431926&sprefix=the+dream+train+te%2Caps%2C196&sr=8-1https://www.barnesandnoble.com/s/Terry%20Tramelhttps://give.iphc.org/projects?query=&filter1=21https://www.terrytramel.comMusic by: AlexMakeMusic on Pixabay
