Episode 261 - Investing in Others

Edward Kimball was a Sunday school teacher who faithfully visited one of his students at the shoe store where he worked. That young man was D. L. Moody. Kimball shared the Gospel with him, and Moody trusted Christ. God later used Moody to preach to millions, but it all began because one faithful man invested in another.The Apostle Paul encouraged the same principle in 2 Timothy 2:2: “The same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” Our greatest investment is not money or possessions. It is the lives of people God places around us.You may never know how far a kind word, a Gospel witness, or an act of encouragement will reach. God often uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things.Today, look for someone you can encourage or point to Christ. An investment in a soul is one that will last for eternity.
