Episode 263 - Tex Talks Star Trek, Pearls of Wisdom, and Bad Guys

This week the boys were delighted to welcome back a true gem of the YouTube underground, Mr. Tex of Tex Talks BattleTech and Space Station 13 notoriety. A podcast host himself, Tex helps the guys navigate a treasure trove of topics while adding his trademark humor to each one. The dorks kick things off talking about tabletop games gone bad and what makes a great villain. The conversation shifts to a personal villain in Tex's life, Games Workshop, and their handling of the Warhammer 40k series. Someone brings up the film "The Patriot" which opens the door for Tex to flex his historian muscles and shed some light on the founding fathers' hygiene...or lack thereof. From the live chat, Jarryd insists on asking Tex for his opinion on Superman Returns, Jarryd's favorite movie of all time, which naturally leads to a discussion on how Batman v Superman could have been improved. The night wraps up with a throw-down in honor of StarTrek day featuring Scotty vs Geordi Laforge and let's just say Tex litigates his side of this argument very well. Before everyone signs off, Tex shares some fantastic advice for how to look at the rest of 2020 and even shares a recitation of Bukowski to round things out.
