Episode 265: You are Supremely Good
from Detox with Abi · host Abimbola Arawande
Someone says be fresh, be new, be you! This is real with God’s Word To anyone with an open mind- God’s Word is always fresh God’s Word is always new On a journey to study the Bible all over again, I asked that the Holy Spirit would keep the Word so fresh to me. I studied chapter one, prayed into it and the verse that most captured my heart is Gen 1:31 “And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good...” Genesis 1:31 KJV The Common English Bible says “God saw everything he had made: it was supremely good…” God saw everything that He made! Everything! Including you and I! Remember in Gen 1:26, …God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: …” God saw everything that He made! God made man and said he is very good. God made you and I; and said we are very good, supremely good. So question? What do you allow to inform your identity? Do you allow your feelings, past experiences to inform your thinking? Who do you allow to inform your identity? Do you allow your past or current negative or toxic relationships to inform your identity? Or do you measure yourself or even others against your own standard as opposed to God’s standard? God says you are very good! God’s love letter to you is that “you are supremely good”. God created you for a specific purpose so do not spend time or waste your time comparing yourself with others because as you do so, you will be aligning yourself to the Enemy’s lie. One of Einstein’s quotes will also drive home this truth- Einstein quoted “… if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid." God sees you to be very good! Halleluyah! Stand where apostle Paul stood and affirm the truth of God’s Word. “…I am not trying to please people. No, it is God that I want to please. If I only wanted to make people happy, then I would not be a servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10 EASY Yes! I understand! You may not feel, neither be like nor look like what God says about you. Knowing and understanding this truth about your regal identity is problem half-solved. The next step will be making constructive decisions towards making substantial what the Word of God says about you- in all ramifications- spiritually, mentally, physically, financially, emotionally- you name it. Keep declaring the Word of God to yourself- According to the Word of God - I am very good - I live a very good life - I excel in all I do because the Spirit of God indwells and leads me into all truth I need to live a very good life. Halleluyah! Let this truth inform your thinking - remember you are supremely good.
