Episode 268 - Faithful in the Small Things

Before Booker T. Washington became one of America's most influential educators, he worked as a janitor to earn a place at Hampton Institute. During his entrance examination, he was asked to clean a room. He swept, dusted, and cleaned so thoroughly that the teacher inspected the room several times before declaring, “I guess you will do to enter this institution.”Washington understood that no task was too small to deserve his best.Jesus taught the same principle in Luke 16:10: “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much.” We often wait for a great opportunity while overlooking the responsibilities already in front of us.
