Episode 27 of The Blind Sport Podcast - Blind Tennis

from theblindsportpodcast's podcast

How can blind people play Tennis? In episode 27 we talk with Alan Whetherly from England to find out how blind and vision impaired people can enjoy the sport of Tennis. Alan is the advisor to the Tennis Foundation for visually impaired tennis in the UK. He has partial vision and has been playing visually impaired tennis since this adapted sport was introduced into England by the Japanese in 2007. Alan is also a Level 2 coach (one of 3 visually impaired coaches in the UK). His role is to increase participation,  develop a coach education programme and increase the number of clubs offering sessions. Alan can be contacted via email at [email protected]. I also include some motivational quotations based on Tennis.
