JT, you'll podcast. No, no. Oh, yes. Yes, yes, yes.

And we're your host Courtney and Carolyn. And that's us. And here we go. It's spring break, baby.

It's spring break. It's spring break. It's spring break. Oh, app 2K18, bitch.

Yeah, it's spring break. Arches National Park. I love Mexico. I just love adventure.

I'm addicted to travel. I love wanderlust. We're home. We are in our hometown.

We did not leave. Nope, we're just chilling and see the rapids. Oh, no, I forgot about that. I'll never forget.

Hey guys, we're just chilling in Bozmann and just relaxing. It's really fun to have a big wild, not even wild. Last year, Courtney and I went to Portland with some friends. It was super fun, but planning, while it is in my list of top 5 favorite things in the galaxy, sometimes it's nice to not have to do it that much.

Sometimes it's really fun to stay home and not have any responsibilities, but at home, instead of somewhere else. He's still got a plan. He's still got a think ahead. We're just home and we're having a great time.

We had a little tiny little time last night. We did. We had a little nice little time. We did some dancing.

It's a blast. One of my dreams came true. What? It's people dancing to Blue Monday without me asking.

Oh, dude, for real. Yeah, one of the guys who was there was like, oh shit, New Order. Turn it up. Man out onto the dance floor and you're like, that's it.

This is my dream. My god. Yeah, it was really fun. Blue Monday by New Order is the best song of all time.

Also, it's daylight savings time and IDK about you listeners, but I feel fake today because of it. Yeah, it's weird. There really is like, and this is a very superficial level, not like the underlying sense of weirdness that comes with daylight savings, but like the superficial weirdness. It's weird to look at clocks that say two different hours.

You know, like you have one clock that's like this morning when I got up, right? It was 10 o'clock because of daylight savings, but all of our clocks said nine. Yeah. And that's just like a superficial weirdness that I don't care for, but like you always sleep in later than you mean to and you're like, oh shit, it's weird.

I'm not really bad about myself this morning because I woke up at nine. I was like, no. I went back to sleep because I was real sleepy. Woke back up at 11.

I was like, well, there goes my entire day. Yeah. Because I'm okay. I love waking up early.

Yeah. And like, same as time, just didn't happen today. Nope. Even later.

Oof. So here we are. Don't we can? Yeah.

We're just doing it. I've been up for four hours. Yeah. Ooh.

Yeah. Yeah. Sometimes you got to have a day like that. Yeah.

That's weird. Especially on spring break. You're allowed to have a day like that. Very true.

And if we were traveling, we wouldn't have that. No. That would be rough. Yeah.

So it's good. That's all good. I don't know. I think it's a pretty rowdy spring break right there.

Oh, got to be playing that Harry Potter. Uh huh. That Harry Potter PS2 game. I already beat Guitar Hero.

That's so good. Even suck a really freak out. I did. Yeah, I did.

You did. Damn. Yeah. So like, it's cool.

And I don't know. Last week was a lot. Uh huh. So this spring break won't be.

No. We had a lot of good rest. Yeah. Yeah.

Presentations and midterms and all sorts of stuff. Yeah. Big time. So yeah.

We definitely deserve this break. Yeah. Everyone does. I feel like you should start a tally of how many flubs you get in that class.

I pretty much. I write them all down because they all make me laugh. Because they were too this week listening. Oh, and I know one listener will remember this with me.

Hey, girl. Hey. So just everybody keep in mind. Picture in your mind if you will.

Let me paint your picture because it's our history. Get it? Good job. I'm putting ten of hers in a minute.

Don't worry. Okay. So she has amazing posture. Okay.

Long hair. And she pieces while she talks about the pieces. And she's like, look at the blank. This was at the height of the blank.

This is how she talks kind of with particular focus and attention on her teas every time. She left her teas. The other way she goes, look at the pleasure. Look at the pleasure.

The pleasure. Because we're talking about the salon paintings in France. Yeah. How they're just like the pleasure.

Look at the pleasure. That was a little bit of a fall. Yeah, dude. And I was losing it in the back of the auditorium, which was fun.

But the flubs this past week were just some of the best I've ever heard. This is kid that always brings up the history channel. And he's like, I was watching a National Geographic documentary on those braver, braver, braver. And he just, every time she tries to like kind of cut him off with a little.

Oh, wow. Oh. Yes. And he never gets a yes.

So this keeps snowballing. And I just, it's a downward spiral. Of course. And this week, she went, oh, which is the first part of the paper.

Just blew it right. Oh, good. Which listeners, of course, is in a time that goodness, good. And gosh, we get good.

Oh, good. Oh, gosh. Oh, the word gosh is so funny. Who knew that that combination of letters would be so fucking funny.

Especially for related. I don't think she takes herself too seriously, but she definitely has a sense of humor that's like, I love the crown in Downton Abbey. Yeah, right. And so whenever you get something good, you're a person.

Oh, that's so good. Oh, gosh. It's very good. And then the other one was, oh, yeah.

We were comparing two paintings, you know, since she's doing our history and she goes, yes. And they are very similar. Very similar. Going for similar?

She's rarely corrected herself since the big, the big love of Frite. Frite. Yeah. I like that.

Stick with it. Oh, very similar. Very similar. Look at the pleasure.

They are similar. That's really good. So I hope I hope my good laid has a laid being short for lady. Right.

I hope she has a good break. Yeah. What was there? Well deserved.

Well deserved. You had a great series of snaps in your Snap Story of the Day from Art History where Caroline was a great fan of her classmates. Very quiet and sweet, eight in the morning voice. I'm just going, say impressions about three, one, two, three.

Impressionism. And everyone was shocked and did not know how to handle that. They were just like, ah, like their face was like, I wonder if I could play the audio. Please do.

It was so funny. I laughed hard. Oh, thank you. I'm really glad.

I just had that thought real quick. I was like, oh, no, I'm just going to execute it perfectly. All right. Let's see if I can pull this up sequentially.

Yeah. I don't know. And then I ended it with Coley, but that doesn't count because we were outside. Yeah.

It was hours later. And he actually did what I asked him to. Right. So it doesn't really count.

Okay. Let's turn up the volume of my phone. Kind of three, say impressionism. One, two, three.

What did you say? It's not so good. Kind of three, say post-impressionism. One, two, three.

On this one, we just get a head shake and a laugh. And then this is the final in the trilogy. On the count of three, say, bro, come go. One, two, three.

That's so good. It was just fun. Oh. I'm going to take an exam.

That was great. That was the other big part of my week. Big O art history exam, but we're all good. Damn.

You said you had a story. Yeah. I try really hard to be like a positive person who doesn't hate people. Sometimes you can make that really hard because they just say stuff.

So I went to the grocery store the other day with my boyfriend. Yeah. This story. We went to the grocery store just getting our groceries.

We go to the checkout line and put all of our groceries on the belt and we get to the guy, the cashier. He's older. I'd say he's in his late 50s or maybe in his 60s. We say hi to him and Josh is going to pay.

So he's standing up talking to the guy and I go to start bagging groceries at the end of the counter. The cashier says to Josh, how old are you? Which is a weird question to ask out of the blue to a stranger. No matter what the situation is, that's generally not the first question you go for.

Ask Josh, how old are you? And Josh says, oh, I'm turning 21 in a couple of weeks. And the cashier was like, oh, you just look so young. No.

He's like, oh, haha. And he's like, I was just wondering because I looked at the two of you and I thought, well, that can't be his mom, can it? God damn. I was at the grocery store with my boyfriend.

We're the same age. Like we're separated by maybe a couple months. And that man thought I was his mother. What the hell?

What the fuck? Okay. What's the most troubling part of that story that he thought that Josh was like six or that he thought that you were older? I think I'm troubled more by the fact that he thought Josh was that young.

Yeah. But I also don't feel like I look. I don't know. I can never get a handle on.

Some people think I look like I'm, I've gotten like people ask me if I'm still in high school sometimes. It's been a long time since I've gotten older than I look. Like I would have had to be, I don't know, in my 30s to like, for that to be a plausible scenario. Yeah.

It was just too weird. Yeah. And we were both so we were just like, uh, uh, okay. Was it like a laughing situation or is this kind of like, no, dude, we did neither of us even crack the smile.

We were both just like, uh, this is uncomfortable. God. It was just because okay. So I have my sister, we talked about the podcast before.

We're separated by eight years about and people have mistaken her for my daughter before, but I can see that's understandable at a certain point. Like, especially when she was really little. Yeah. Um, people would ask if it was my daughter.

Um, but this was just like, I don't know. I don't know. Yeah. I don't think that I just, it would have never guessed that anybody would look at the two of us and thought, Oh, that's a woman in her son.

He does not know that was, it was just, I don't know. I hate it. I hate it. So.

Son, if anything, exactly. But I would never go for that. No, it was just crazy and I hated it. I was just like weirdly like upset about it for the rest of the day.

I'm just like, Oh, that's my story. What the fuck? Don't ask people how old they are. If you're strangers, you don't have to do that.

Yeah, good. No matter. You guys go for that. It doesn't.

That was the thing is like, rebying alcohol. No, that was, that was the thing. If we were buying alcohol, it would have made sense that he would have asked how old, because like, Oh, you look too young to be buying alcohol, but that didn't even like, that was not part of the conversation. Just out of the blue.

He's like, how old are you? I'm just so curious about your relationship and if you're dating or if this is your mom. No, what the fuck? Nope.

Yeah, I'm sorry. It was like, it's funny. It's a funny story, but man, I felt real weird about it. So yeah, that's it, man.

That does remind me though, this one time I went to a concert at the place where you work and every time like any woman walked on stage, these kids next week, mom, that's mom. It's like when Courtney walked on stage, mom, that's my mom. Oh, the dad, they're like, no, that's not mom. She's coming on later.

That's my mom. They're like, maybe six. Oh, that's too funny. Everybody hears the moral of the story.

Courtney is not a mother. Not yet. I'm not your mom. I'm not your mom.

I'm not your mother. Anyway, it's not that funny. I'm not a mom. Nope.

I don't know. I think my mom's good. That's what I should have said to that man. Oh, good.

Because I could mean anything, you know? Yeah, exactly. Oh, good. I'm gonna start responding to people like that and see what happens.

Anyone else says something like that? Oh, good. Oh, good. Good.

Good. Anyways, that's my story. That's all I have. Courtney's not a mom.

But someday, I hope to be a heart mom. Yeah, this is a segue into a story I like to call. Well, I'll just tell it doesn't get a title. Untitled.

Untitled. Untitled story. By C.J. Janssen.

Okay, so I went and I saw Call me by your name the other night. And it was like, I saw myself doing this coping mechanism that I don't think I've ever noticed myself doing. Because most of the time, I'll have a feeling I'm like, hell yeah, let's go. I love a good feeling.

While I was having a feeling during this movie, I was like, what jokes can I make about this? So the whole time I was having an emotion, I was like, Call me by your name as a movie about striped shirts, pianos, and a poor posture. Anyway, my goal is to be a hot mom, like a hot mom in this movie. So after the movie, after the hot mom movie, we're like walking back to the car.

And I wore my Captain's hat because the girl I went with has a train conductor hat. So we're like, this is hat night. That's awesome. I love that.

And we're walking. It's like maybe 10 o'clock. We're walking down Main Street. And this guy walks past us with his friend and they're like maybe in their mid-late 30s and he salutes to me.

And I went, oh thank you, Addy's. It was the best moment of my entire existence. Yes, dude. The Captain's hat really comes to the club.

And you had it ready. It wasn't like, oh, I should have said that. Or like, you were just like Addy's. That's so good.

I couldn't believe myself because we were both supposed to be like, ugh, like hurting. Sure. It's an intense movie. Yeah, but like, that's excellent.

I just can't believe this guy was like, she's got a Captain's hat on. I got a, got a jizz loop. I don't know why I almost lived along a crossroad. I don't even know anything about Star Trek.

But I am the Captain. I do like that. That's really good. It was really good.

Oh yeah, dude. Maybe I should wear that hat more often. I felt real good. Probably.

You probably should. It's a dope hat. Thank you. I just love a hat.

It's a baller ass hat. Called by her name as a baller ass movie. Oh, it's just a funny little moment. A tiny little night.

Yeah. I love it. That's great. Yeah.

Addy's. Soldier. Addy's Soldier. Nice.

Good golly. Speaking of watching things. I heard from you, for me, that Riverdale is not the worst anymore. Yeah.

They, and do we have to do like a spoiler alert thing because I don't want to? No. I don't want to have that reason anymore. Nobody watches that show anyways.

Oh my gosh. This is our show. We're gonna do it. This is our podcast.

Listen, if you don't want to know like whatever button. So the show sucks. It's a bad show. That's all.

Yeah. Like that's the bottom line, right? When it gets down to it, it's a bad show. But on this past episode, this past episode was very cute.

It was just a filler episode. Not really, doesn't really do anything for like the plot of the, like the plot arc of the season. But, uh, Cheryl, who, if you don't watch, she's like the redhead bombshell mean girl character of the show. Yeah.

Came out as gay. And it explains everything about her whole character. Yeah. It's fucking awesome.

Some people cope with their self discoveries. Right. By being a little mean. By being a little awful sometimes.

But I feel like this is a good new direction for the show to be going and stoked about it. And so we have started referring it to it as the Riverdale Renaissance. Yep. Man, it's good.

It's good to see like, it's good to see like several queer characters on just like a regular teenage kid show. Yeah. Come on. Let's go.

It's good. Stoked. I'm stoked about it. I'm stoked to see where it goes.

But now I'm invested because of this one character. I hope they do a good job with it. Me too. I hope that they will.

I think they will. That's good. I think they will do a great job. Good golly.

I do love me some representation. It was cute because the whole episode was centered around the premiere of Love Simon. And it was just about all of the characters going to the movies to see this movie. Was it annoying that that was such like a clear promotion thing?

Yes. But not in a way that made me upset. Like it was annoying like, oh come on guys. Get in a way of like, we get it.

But it's fine. I don't care with it. It almost makes the purpose of Riverdale. I would be more pissed off if it was an established show show.

Yeah. But because it's Riverdale on the CW. Right. Which seems very self-aware kind of.

Yeah. Where it's like, we're a teenage show. Yeah. Kind of.

We do this for money. It started out that way. I feel like they've gotten, they've started taking themselves really seriously. Okay.

After how successful the first season was. And now we can do real dark gritty stuff. It's like, no that was never. But no, it's always been like a product placement.

Like CoverGirl is a huge monster to that show. And they're so not subtle about how they do product placement. So it didn't surprise me. I thought it was kind of silly.

It was with Shelly from Twin Peaks The Mom. She was like, she was talking to Betty. She's like, here, put on this. Yeah.

Dude, you're even trying. Yeah. Exactly. CoverGirl.

Yeah. Superlin. Anyways, it's a bad show. Don't watch it.

But like, I'm okay with it right now. You know what? I might dive back in. Really?

I mean, damn. I'll do what I did when I was 12 with Pretty Little Liars and only watch those plot points with Cheryl. Yeah. That's like a compromise for me.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

It's exciting. It's exciting to see where this will go now that there's actually something I care about. Yeah. The show.

I'm not going to go to Riverdale Renaissance. Because we do talk about Riverdale here sometimes. We certainly do. It's our tiny big.

I certainly hope so. Yeah, man. I got a tiny little...I had a couple of realizations about Toy Story today. You watch Toy Story 2.

Yeah, I woke up and I was going to watch The Shining while I ate my bagel and my clementine and drank my coffee. Yeah. And I started it. And I was like, no, I don't want to be an adult right now.

Yeah. So I exited that. And I scrolled through the rest of my movies and I was like, Toy Story 2. Heck, yeah.

Oh. Put it on. And I had so much fun. And I just giggled.

It was so fun. Because I was like, do I got to go Zymas? It was like, how on earth am I ever going to remember? You're welcome.

Where you just always don't touch my mustache. Don't touch my mustache. It's like, hey, that's from something. And I never worked to figure out what it was.

Really? Yes. I was just like, wait, that is from something. Oh, yes.

It's from Toy Story 2. It's from Toy Story 2. Because the real thing is that we touch and watch thing. Don't touch my mustache.

Don't touch my mustache. You mean Owls, Toy Barn, Owls. Yeah. And the phone with Japan, the museum goes, don't touch my mustache.

Oh my God. It was always such a fun joke for me and my family when I watched it. Because my mom and my grandma are from Japan. And so we always spoke a little bit of Japanese with my grandma.

And so that was like a joke that was like our joke. That's so good. It has a little family joke. I don't know.

It was fun. I love that. Yeah. And it's cute now that you're like, oh, I figured out what it was from.

After watching it again, that's so fun. It takes a while. But you get there. Yeah, man.

I love those. Don't touch my mustache. Don't touch my mustache. Oh my God.

Yeah. It's been my thesis for a couple of years now that Toy Story 2 was a movie about the Messiah and the Second Coming When Woody comes to the collectors to mean Al, Al's toy barn place. And like the prospector and Jesse and they're all like, oh, we know you come back. We just knew it.

Yeah. Like I believed in him so much, but they never thought it was possible. Yeah. And now that way he's back, life, there's another chance of life.

Oh. So I thought for sure he's that that's what that movie is about in a funny, like quiet way. Yeah. Obviously that movie is also about the aging process and things changing.

And I watched it and I was like, oh no. Because there's a point where the prospector is stinky pea. Stinky pea. Oh, I hate him.

He's so vile. He's like talking to what he's like, what are you going to do? And he goes to college. Do you really think you're going to go to college with Andy?

Yeah. He's going to go to college. Yes. Yeah.

And like I realized, okay, this might, okay. I'm not going to get a fair set. Okay. So I think a new test of mine, but not a test.

Just like a, wait, what are you? Like a new vetting process. We'll call it interesting. Okay.

You know, watch Toy Story with someone. I'm like, what are you about? Yeah. When somebody loved me is a part of that movie.

Okay. Exactly. Yeah. See, Courtney passes the test with flying colors.

And we're not even watching it. She's so sad. It's so sad. It's so sad.

It's like, and you got Sarah McLaughlin singing, when somebody loved me, everything was beautiful. How happy this girl makes her man, but she was helping so much. And you watched this little girl grow up before your very eyes and Jesse's underneath the bed. She can't do anything because she's a toy.

She can't ask for her, for her attention back. She's at her service. And all of a sudden she gets, she's so happy because what's her face Emily finds her again. And she's like, she's got a little smile on her face.

Yeah. And she ends up in the moving box. And it is so sad. So sad.

So sad. Because it could have easily made that song like a love song of just like, oh, I used to be in love. Right. No, it's about this kid used to need me.

And then the kid grew up and she doesn't need me anymore. Yeah. And that just breaks me. Yeah.

So if I watch that with someone and they're like, okay. I'm gonna be like, all right. We need to have a little chat. We need to talk about growing up.

Okay. Okay. So like she misses Emily. You're not sad about that?

Come on, man. Are you thinking about the toys you gave away? Do you feel that? Yeah.

You feel bad for those toys? Come on, man. They miss you. I love being pleased.

This is something I've never talked about with anybody ever before. Ooh, I'm ready. Why? You know that scene where it's like the old guy fixing Andy up and like the drawers and like the polishing and just like, why does that make me feel so weird all the time?

It's icky. Every time I watch that, I'm just like, ehhh. Just like in my heart like, ugh, it's like that scene feels very scary to me. It's very systematic.

Yeah. And very like my mom thinks that Toy Story 3 is about the Holocaust. That's my mom's theory. Okay.

Toy Story 2, however. We've gone over that. It's so good at being like here's a normal thing that like any collector antique repurpose or refurbisher would do just like not sinisterly. Yeah, but it puts such a spill on it where it's like, yeah, it just feels very icky.

So methodical. And like that one point where he his little lenses and yeah, yeah, yeah, gross. Yeah, it's just scary. Yeah, I don't know.

That always wig me out every time I love Toy Story 2 by far the best film in the trilogy. But that part was always like, yeah, I don't like this. God, when I was in high school, I was a drum major for the marching band and my co-drum major. I think one of our biggest bonding moments was when we were talking about Toy Story the first one.

Yeah. And she's like, every time I think about strange things, you know, strange things happen to me. She's like, I think about that. And I start crying and I always have.

Whoa. So there was one point where I foolishly just started singing under my breath while we were setting up some cones and she goes, you can't. I was like, oh, yeah, yeah, I'm so sorry. Like it was like a big thing.

Oh. Toy Story knows how to do feelings. Yeah. It knows how to make your heart at war with itself.

For real. And I just love being reminded of that. Yeah. Yeah, man.

Toy Story, what a great series. Yeah, great time. I want to go back and watch those movies. I will do it.

It's good. Just love it. Can't wait to show my kids. Yeah.

And if they don't like them, give them to my mom to keep. You can have this one. You can have both of these. I'll see them on holidays.

No, I would never. I'm going to let my kids so much. Yeah. Even if they don't like Toy Story.

Yeah. I'll work it over it. Yeah. I guess it's like maternal unconditional whatever, whatever.

I don't know. It's like kind of a deal breaker for my kids. Yeah. Okay.

Timothy. Go to your room. Hey, man. Hey, man.

Yeah. Damn. Everybody go home and watch Toy Story. Okay.

Oh, yeah. Oh, how do you on? Sorry. Oh, no, I feel like it's beautiful.

Oh, she loved me. So sad, dude. Oh. Yeah.

We had a new segment idea. Yes. Tell them, Karen, tell them listeners what this new segment is called. This new segment is called, ha ha ha.

I do that. So on Twitter, I saw a Twitter moment called, let's see what it's called. A leather-relatable tweets of the week. And I thought it'd be fun for us to read some relatable tweets and rate them on how relatable they really are.

Yeah. Because sometimes people are like, oh, this is so relatable and it's not so. I love it. Here we go.

These are relatable tweets of the week. All right. Here's one. This is from user at PrettyRick.

Uni, or as we call in America College, is so bittersweet. One moment you're not worried about money hanging out, living the sash life. Then the next week you're living off $5. You have three exams.

You had 10 mental breakdowns and it's only just the start of the week. On a scale of one to 10. I call it like a six. Yeah.

Yeah. I just love the use of the word uni. Uni. Oh, when I was in university, I...

What do you think? How relatable is that? I mean, like the general concept is very relatable. Yeah.
