Episode 270: God will Exceed Your Expectation

Today’s podcast was first posted 5years ago when our then 12yr old son made a profound and thought-provoking quote based on the family devotion we had with Scriptural focus on Proverbs 19- His quote was “Don’t always expect your blessings to be financial or materialistic because God may have added time to your life”. I immediately noted the quote down and also encouraged him to keep journal with him to take notes 📝 when inspiration comes. The quote resonates with the story of one of the prominent kings of Judah- king Hezekiah. King Hezekiah was considered to be a righteous man who desired to please God in his reign. In Kings chapter 20, he had a fatal illness, and was informed by prophet isaiah that indeed he was going to die! On hearing the depressing news, the Bible says that he cried and prayed to the Lord; God answered him by adding “15 more years” to his life. God added “time” to his life. Perhaps, you’re faced with predicaments, especially financial circumstances. Remember, God might have added time to your life. He is your defender and He will see to it that every area of your life is sorted out. Keep thanking Him for life. Worship him for health. He will fulfil all His promises to you. Blessings
