Episode 271 - Kong: Skull Island

This movie is a pile of garbage!  Andrew and Phil (but especially Andrew!) tear into this new attempt at capitalizing on a once great story.  'KSI' doesn't have the tragic sweep of the 1933 Kong, instead it's just a boring film with intermittent action scenes that keep Kong as a undeveloped minor character rather than a full-fledged star.  Phil found the monster fight scenes to be the only interesting part of this movie, but even those left Andrew cold.  He pegs it as the worst movie of 2017 so far.  Some more inexplicable crimes? The reunion of two charismatic stars of 'Straight Outta Compton' in nothing parts, or how about the bald attempt to monetize this as the beginning of a new franchise (to rival Marvel, perhaps?).  Listen to the fun discussion!
