Episode 275 - On the day of Our Lady of Lourdes, farewell Kat Gafner, rest in peace

Kat Gafner died unexpectedly last night. Why do we forget so easily that we are passing through? We are all in shock. She was a reporter in Ny and a dear friend of my sister Maria. Her last Instagram story was to my sister for her birthday yesterday. They spoke last night. Like the Greek woman in today’s gospel of Mark, who fiercely fought on behalf of her daughter before Jesus and received healing, we come before the throne of our Lord to intercede on behalf of this precious family. Let us pray for her children Jack, 14, Gemma, 9, and Josie, 7 and for her husband Bill. Man and woman God created them says the Old Testament story today. Man will leave his parents and cling to his wife. We pray deeply for Bill. We wrap our arms in prayer in their grief knowing that Jesus wept when his friend died. We weep too. We are people of hope, people of resurrection and we weep.
