So, if you were planning to tune in for the live stream but couldn’t, don’t worry, you didn’t miss anything. I spent an entire week working to make sure the transition was smooth and NOTHING went right. Best laid plans… as they say. I think I’ve got the kinks worked out and we should HOPEFULLY be live this Saturday at 6pm/PT like we’re supposed to be. The show got recorded nonetheless. Ignore the random ding noises you’ll hear peppered throughout the episode. That’s the new chat room. We had turned the sounds off, but in the fluster of trying to get the Spreaker player to do what the instructions on Spreaker’s site said it would do — but didn’t — we hit refresh a few times on the website resetting the chat room, hence the dings. Now that you’re aware of the royal fuck up that was our first Saturday show, lets start with how greedy morons fucked up during the Black Friday madness following Thanksgiving. Like last year, I compiled a list of some of the more shocking incidents. And it reads just like last year’s too. A majority of them were at Walmart stores, the biggest instigator of this deplorable behavior. Even ladies at Victoria’s Secret were punching each other over panties. And a good chunk of the fighting happened on Thursday night since so many stores decided to open early rendering actual Black Friday pointless. But the idea that stores are in the red until this magical Friday once a year is total bullshit. It’s all marketing deception. You think companies like Walmart and Target operate in the red all year? If they’ve got the money to spring up a 15,000 square foot store every three or four city blocks, they can’t be hurtin’ too badly for money. Now Sears, JC Penney and Best Buy? Yeah, that’s not marketing deception on their part… they really are operating in the red all the time. From operating in the red to seeing red; FAMILY GUY fans are pretty pissed about Brian being killed off in a recent episode. The writers for the show thought it’d be a fun way to shake things up. Viewers found it to be lazy story telling on their part and tens-of-thousands of them have signed a petition to bring the character back. I think folks are forgetting that FAMILY GUY doesn’t exactly abide by its own continuity. They’ve been known to throw such things out the window for the sake of a clever joke. So don’t be surprised if Brian is brought back down the road. I can see it now. He just randomly returns one episode and nobody says anything until the very end. Brian will say something profound, there’ll be a brief pause and then Peter will look at him and say, “Didn’t you die?” Then a cut to credits. And while FAMILY GUY has already killed one of their main characters, everyone is still waiting to see who’s gonna die on THE SIMPSONS. Originally it was supposed to happen this year, but producers have decided to push the death of a well-known Springfieldian back to the season 26 premier. They say they’ll be releasing inaccurate rumors and gossip online to throw everyone off and entice them to watch the premier. The only info we know for sure is the marked character is voiced by a cast member who has won an Emmy. Tune in today to find out who that rules out. And within weeks of the PS4 launch, some users are already finding non-gaming ways of using the console’s video streaming app called Playroom. It allows those with the optional camera to stream video of their living room, or in most cases, musty-smelling, dark bedrooms riddled with empty Mountain Dew cans and an unmade bed. One couple decided to do a little strip show on Playroom and streamed it to Twitch.tv. A drunk woman appeared naked — after her husband apparently striped her unconscious body — and after a short period the stream was taken down and the user was banned. Twitch says nudity and non-gaming content is a violation of their terms of service. They also say their users are vigilant about reporting such abuse. I say it’s a little sad when someone would tattle on titties because it’s not CALL OF DUTY. Maybe Nintendo should offer their own Playroom app and let people get naked. It might boost the floundering Wii U’s sales. The company has reported a pretty big operating loss and they’ll likely fall several million short of their goal to sell 9-million Wii U’s by year’s end. What’s worse, the SUPER MARIO 3D WORLD game that we bagged on last week for being repetitive and feeling like it was unfinished and rushed, didn’t do well in Japan when it debuted last week. In fact, it was the worst-selling 3D Mario game so far. And Nintendo was banking on it to save the Wii U. Analysts say the console will need some game to save it, and that will likely be the next Zelda due out in 2014. As it stands right now, nobody is going to punch you on Black Friday over a Wii U.
