Known for his work across contemporary classical, electronic music, and immersive multimedia art, Longobardi brings a distinct sensitivity to the interplay between sound, space, and perception. This is not a concept about chronological time, but rather an investigation into its psychological dimension: time as expansion, suspension, fracture, memory, and loss.Each piece was written in a distinct existential moment and retains the sonic imprint of that context. The tracks on ‘Tempo Fugit’ were not conceived within a single creative phase, but across different periods of the composer’s life. Some compositions remained suspended for years, ideas requiring maturation. Others were recorded in transitional environments, capturing the urgency of the present moment.This temporal disparity in the creation of the pieces is integral to the project: the EP itself becomes a tangible testimony to the passage of time and its transformative force. The result is a cohesive yet layered body of work in which piano and electronics coexist within a contemplative ambient framework, suspended between fragility and intensity.Longobardi represents the generation of classically trained musicians who incorporate the language of contemporary electronic music into their pieces, which are furthermore strongly connected to the multimedia arts. His works reveal a strong interaction between classical and contemporary music. He has composed music for ballets and films and accompanied installations and experimental art productions (Atelier des Lumières – Paris, Carrières de Lumières – Baux-de-Provence, Kunstkraftwerk – Leipzig).
