Reaching beyond her's and her families' loss and pain she took steps to help others so they didn't have to feel the same struggles during this emotional numbing rollercaster  ride. The foundation works with hospitals, raise money to help identify and support familes for the past 19 years, in 9 states working with other organizations like Warriors for a cause; Friends of Karen and the Marty Lions Foundation. Terrie is an RN, whose career has spanned since 1975 from clinical nursing, management, teaching for a short time in an Undergraduate nursing program at Adelphi to medical sales and a physician liaison. In 2005 her career expanded to philanthropy and starting a 501c3, Michael Magro Foundation, Inc.The foundation was born as a result of her boys being diagnosed with cancer in 2004. Marc had Hodgkin's Lymphoma and was diagnosed the day before his 11th birthday on 3/17/2004. Michael was diagnosed with leukemia on 6/8/2004 and passed away on 7/31/2004. Her passion and drive through this journey was to help people in need. She saw and lived first hand how your bills mount up and your salery decreases. The Michael Magro Foundation work with social workers to vet the families they assist. They assist by paying household bills such as rent, mortgage, utility, car payments, etc. as well as outstanding non covered medical and pharmacy expenses. Donations to this foundation is greatly needed and appreciated.  Please go to the Michael Magro Foundation to see how you can support and assist this great cause.
