Carlos Delgado (1991-96) is a former TV news reporter who now works for Rady Childrens Hospital as an award-winning Bilingual Senior Media Relations and Public Information Officer.A proud Aztec, Delgado shares stories from his work as a reporter in numerous markets throughout California and how that experience helps in his current role. He details the process of thinking of a story idea, how he pitches the idea and to which reporters, and facilitating the story (including consulting with doctors and the parents of sick children).Delgado gives us behind-the-scenes examples of his work, whether it's spotlighting K9 therapy dogs to ease the worry of children receiving their vaccine, or a star high school basketball star diagnosed with sweaty palms who was able to help others by sharing his story."Where Ya At?" is a podcast focused on the School of Journalism and Media Studies at San Diego State University.
