Since we believe in free parenting, we also believe that we should educate our kids about sex. We talk about the logistics, the dangerous parts and the pleasurable parts, and what people can do to protect themselves. We also leave the door open for our kids to ask us questions or come to us if they feel they need someone to talk to. But not everyone was raised that way, and not everyone believes that the way we talk to each other is right. At the end of the day, we believe that we should educate our kids in a safe environment. Teens are going to learn about sex no matter what, so you might as well be the ones to talk to them about it, even if it’s a bit awkward. In this week’s episode, we’re talking about how to talk to your kids about sex so that they actually listen to you. We can’t deny that it's an awkward conversation, but it's better to feel a little awkward for a little while and be your kid’s safe space, than for them to learn all the wrong things from their classmates.
