Episode 28 - In Spaaaccce!

Iain and Jamie are delighted to welcome home their space based roving reporter Janice Turner from Wren Games. The crew cover legal rustling on the Great Western Trail, companies producing less games and Aliens returning to the tabletop. In our Brainstorm we turn to the subject of Kickstarter and seek sage advice from Janice who has been down that road in the not too distant past and has a background in project management.   Headlines   Indie Game Studios sues Plan B Games https://boardgamegeek.com/blogpost/88986/indie-game-studiosstronghold-games-sues-plan-b-gam    AEG pledges to make Less Games  https://www.alderac.com/2019/04/25/publish-fewer-new-games/    Steve Jackson games releases stakeholder report for 2018 http://www.sjgames.com/general/stakeholders/report19.html   News   Alien films return to the Tabletop  https://frialigan.se/sv/startsida/    Asmodee launches Aconyte fiction arm https://www.asmodee.co.uk/news-item/asmodee-announces-fiction-imprint-aconyte/   Steamforged games gains steam  https://icv2.com/articles/news/view/43073/steamforged-games-raises-5-million-roughly-6-5-million    Origins Award Nominees announced  https://www.originsgamefair.com/origins-awards-nominees        Another Kickstarter Suspended  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1361678389/devil-ring-age-of-the-war?fbclid=IwAR1iUr3dDIveZN9l3i9Yiu3AanbNFa82jpnKANlBC1WPY_YbrCdvAnhwSGw    Previous campaigns https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/player11boardgame/age-of-the-war-devil-invasion-of-the-ring/ https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/121737448/age-of-the-war-kingdoms-conquest-boardgame/comments   Brainstorm   Janice's articles  https://www.cardboardvault.com/lessons-learned/little-things-add-up-1-standard-costs    Outro  https://tabletopscotland.co.uk/    Patreon Shoutouts Executive Producers: Lucky Sparrow Games Cafe Become a Patreon   Guest Links Twitter:  https://twitter.com/Dravvin  Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/wrengames/?hl=en  Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/wrengames/  UKGE: Hall 2, Stand 624 Kickstarter Link:  www.ks.wrengames.co.uk  Website:  www.wrengames.co.uk   Get in touch iTunes - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/brainwaves-board-game-and-tabletop-news-show/id1367090522?mt=2 Twitter - https://twitter.com/thegiantbrain Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/giantbrainuk/ Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/thegiantbrain/ Website - http://www.giantbrain.co.uk/ Email - [email protected]
