It’s also a fantastic resource for writers who want to research the RL BDSM community. Conquer Me: girl-to-girl wisdom about fulfilling your submissive desires by Kacie Cunningham – This book is all about the emotional and mental space of a submissive, as well as practical advice about how to navigate a D/s relationship as the submissive partner. The intended readership is specifically submissive women, particularly those with male partners (the author is up front about the fact this means it may be less helpful to readers of other genders or orientations, but the book is very heavily based on her personal experience, and she didn’t want over generalize) but, regardless, I thought it did an excellent job giving a glimpse of the headspace of submission.
