This novel follows the story of Ellie as she enters into a mutually beneficial agreement to marry the owner of the coffee shop where she works. Once married, the owner will be eligible to inherit his grandfather's fortune of which he'll give a cut to Ellie, who is down on her luck and desperately in need of the cash. There's only one catch - when they go to meet the family, Ellie realizes that she's just agreed to marry the brother of the one that got away.
