Today I'm giving a bit of a debrief on past Mother's Days and birthdays for myself in terms of how my expectations have evolved over time.  I also dig into how my ability to communicate those expectations to loved ones has changed and developed over time and lived experiences.  I emphasize the importance of reconciling with yourself an your own emotions, especially when they are opposite and hopefully provide some support and solidarity as you go about your day.
