Episode 28 "Promises For the Long Journey Home."
from "I'm Back In The Saddle Again... · host Dr. Larry Loffelmacher
Part II of a Doctoral study of Theology. It is part poetry, part illuminating discourse forthe awakening soul. (It is posted as a fantasy of words - fashioned for thought.) We often hear Pastors talk of many things, or so it seems. However, as we listen, as a Christian or as a would be Christian, there are many similar notes that get played over and over again. However, this message does not limit the discourse to humans alone. Occasionly, the author takes in a view of God, as one who seeks us out-out of the wreckage of the past. That journey may take us around many curves, missed appointments, and missed or intentonally refused messages with meaning for our past and future. Often in refusing messages, with meaning, for our past or our future, we find a road once traveled must be traveled again and again, until one accepts the wisdom of a caring King. It is our gain, when after battle with our Lord, we discover a "trust of our own"...taking us to wisdom lost and now found, to discoveries once lost and now --there is a returning pathway emmerging as a pathway to a renewed relationship. It may be a "long journey home" but, well worth the effort and renewal.
