Falling for Christmas is a 2022 romcom starring Lindsay Lohan in her first lead role in more than a decade. She plays spoiled heiress Sierra/Sarah, on a date with her influencer boyfriend Tad, falls off a mountain and is knocked unconscious. She is discovered by bland but caring recently widowed Jake (Chord Overstreet) who owns a failing ski resort. Unable to remember who she is, Sierra now Sarah, helps out at the ski lodge while trying to discover who she really is. Clare and Daisy are no stranger to the worlds worst films as their podcast delves deep into IMDBs bottom 100 list. As a film, Falling for Christmas is not great, however, as (Netflix) Hallmark films go, it ticks all the boxes of that genre. Drawing parallels with Overboard it isn’t especially original but it is Christmassy and light predicable fun. Unsurprisingly recommendability for Falling for Christmas was not high, scores for repeat viewing was lower but incredibly it still managed to score 3.15 overall. Merry Christmas from Flixwatcher!
