And we can only begin this journey by donning our G-Men suits and sunglasses to talk about The Blues Brothers. Over the course of our conversation you will hear us talk about the long and eventful history of how this movie came together, how the Blues Brothers phenomenon reinvigorated the careers of blues and soul icons, how it nearly bankrupted the studio thanks to the combination of Dan Aykroyd's propensity to write stream-of-consciousness epics posing as scripts and John Landis's desire to go big instead of going home and how this first SNL movie set the course for many others to follow.
