Episode # 283 Alpha Papa with Russell Bailey and Will Chich

from Flixwatcher: A Netflix Film Review Podcast · host Stripped Media

Will Chich (Caged In: Coppola Connections) and Russell Bailey (Not Just For Kids Podcast) return to Flixwatcher remotely to review Will’s choice Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa.   Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa is a 2013 feature length outing for Norwich’s premier DJ Alan Partridge. Starring Steve Coogan as Alan. It features reoccurring characters Lynn Benfield (Felicity Montagu), Michael (Simon Greenall), and "Sidekick" Simon Denton (Tim Key), with some new faces including Pat Farrell (Colm Meaney), Steve Stubbs and Specialist Firearms Officer (Sean Pertwee). When North Norfolk Digital is brought out by a multinational corporation redundancies are on the table. DJ Alan Partridge hijacks a board meeting with the intention to support long-serving DJ Pat Farrell. When he discovers it is between him or Pat to go he decides to save himself and “JUST SACK PAT”. Pat is sacked and Alan is saved, at a company party a disgruntled Pat takes the radio station hostage at gun point and Alan is sent in to negotiate. Spin off films from hit comedy TV programmes can vary in quality from the good (Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan) to the very, very bad (Brüno) with a struggle with sustaining a longer runtime and story based on sketch style comedy. Thankfully, Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa is a real treat for fans of all things Alan. Recommendability for Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa was high, but based on being a fan or at least familiar with Alan. Small screen and engagement scores were also high to give a very impressive overall rating of 4.41.   [supsystic-tables id=295] Episode #283 Crew Links Thanks to Episode #283 Crew of Russell Bailey (@russlovesmovies) and Will Chich (@WillChich) Please make sure you give them some love   More about Alpha Papa For more info on Alpha Papa, you can visit Alpha Papa IMDb page here or Alpha Papa Rotten Tomatoes page here.
