Time to buckle up because this week Katie takes us all on a journey of anger and re-discovering all the things we already knew as women existing in the world. This week we start our dive into medical bias -- starting off with - did you know there are FIVE types of biases? Some alarming statistics send Garet on a spiraling rabbit hole of anger and grunty noises while we round out the episode discussing medical bias in obesity. According to one study, doctors who responded to the survey viewed obese patients as noncompliant, lazy, and combative, much in the same way those doctors viewed people in the midst of substance addiction and extreme mental health crises.
