Episode 29: Ascension of the Lord

In this episode, Pastor Rhonda and Pastor Seth continue to discuss the Easter season passages with the focus being on the Ascension of Jesus. It is so important for us to dive deeper into the reality of this event, in order for us to be able to fully understand the arch of the Christian Calendar. The Ascension points to the kingship and lordship of Christ. Even as the king, Jesus still shows concern and grace for His followers, commanding them to go and wait for the one who was to come. We also have this promise of His return, and he call to preach the good news to the world, and forgiveness of sins. What a call that we all have, What a mission He has placed in front of us. And for the disciples, Jesus said to start close to home, start in Judea. This has huge implications for them, and us, as we live the gospel message to those around us.
