The rhyme goes, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never harm me." Seems that in 2023, this is no longer the case. People have now become "outraged" and "triggered" and "deeply hurt" by the words of others and it seems it's getting worse. Some stand up comedians now work in explainers and apologies into their routines as not to "offend" anyone. Does a good debate and argument and different thoughts and points of view not make for personal growth and allow us to expand our world view and evolve?
