Episode 29 Having a Support System

from Try Not To Overthink It · host Try Not to Overthink It

Hey guys it's RJ, Unique, and Kalhil! In today's episode we're going to be discussing Having a Support System. For all of us there comes a time when we strike out and may want to accomplish things on our own. Most times, this feeling can be liberating and other times it can create a sense of loneliness. Life was not meant to be experienced alone and that's where a support system comes into play. It doesn't make you weak or less than to rely on others around you, as having others who are there for you through think and thin is a point of strength and should not be seen as a point of weakness. Having people in your corner that you can trust and turn to when you're in need can help you manage everyday struggles, work through a crisis, or make difficult decision. A support system can take many different forms and can include people such as family, friends, significant others, as well as colleagues. The point of a support system is to both keep you grounded as well as keep you headed in the right direction. When times get tough, your support system is what will help you navigate and get through it all. Our hope is that our listeners will get something from this deep, honest, and real conversation from the viewpoint of both a Licensed Professional Counselors and a Licensed Social Worker. Stay tuned as we drop new content weekly. If you want to watch this episode we can be found at Try Not To Overthink it on Youtube.
