Invited to join this friend and her family in 2023, Kaye's initial excitement was quickly overshadowed by a chorus of 'hell no' and a list of excuses—a familiar response when faced with stepping beyond one’s comfort zone.   With a double invocation—one from the Camino itself and another from Kaye and her friend—life accelerated into a whirlwind of challenges and growth. Emotional turmoil and unexpected injuries arose, testing her resolve. Yet, a stake had been placed in the ground: the Camino was happening. Abandoning logic, Kaye surrendered to the Spirit of the Camino, which was preparing her in profound ways.
