Episode 29: We Crashed A City Council Hearing & Elon Gets Put In The Hot Seat

This week we begin the episode with Relly reacting to clips and recounting his experience at a NYC City Council hearing on the NYPD budget– including the laughably false statements made by top NYPD brass. We then get into reacting to the viral Elon Musk interview on The Don Lemon Show, and discuss his crusade on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs as well as his continued hypocritical statements and actions on issues of free speech. We finish the episode discussing a much more somber subject– the murder of Samyia Spain, a 19-year-old girl, who was stabbed by a man for rejecting his sexual advances. This leads to a larger discussion on the violence of masculinity.Check out our website: www.unapologetictawk.com Subscribe & watch the episode on Youtube: youtube.com/@UnapologeticTawkPodcast?si=dxnIvfV5Jaivqg6- Follow the podcast on socials:Instagram: @unapologetictawk Tik Tok: @unapologetictawkFollow Relly: @rellyrebel Follow Dimez: @dimez_cartierFollow Rudy: @shacqealRudy is the creator of Blacksky, an algorithm to connect Black users on Bluesky and the basis for other community algorithms on BlueskyFollow Rudy on BlueskyRudy also created Papertree.earth, a joint bank account for community groups to collectively manage finances. We The People NYC is a community-led mutual aid group that runs a hot food & clothes distro every Thursday @ 1PM on the corner of Fulton & Nostrand in Bed-Stuy , every Saturday @ 1PM on 125th Street & Lexington Ave in Harlem, and Monday @ 4pm at Tompkins Square Park.Check out more info at wethepeople.nyc or @wethepeople_nyc on InstagramJoin the Stonewall Was A Riot!
